Invitation to Great Western Local Practice Forum “Outside the box: Inside pharmacy” one day conference, Sunday 29th November 11am-4.30pm, University of Bath
Pharmacists, pre-reg and students are invited to attend our second “Outside the box: Inside pharmacy” one-day LPF conference on Sunday 29th November. The day is focussed around our Society’s “Shaping pharmacy for the future” priorities. The schedule for the day is as follows:
10.30-11.00 Registration 5 West Foyer, Department of Pharmacy & Pharmacology Sessions in Lecture Theatre 5 West 2.3
11.00-11.45 Keynote address – RPS work streams and NHS England practice pharmacist pilot (Ash Soni OBE, RPS President)
11.45-12.30 Pharmacists in GP practices and pharmacist management of long-term-conditions (Rachel Hall, Old School Surgery, Bristol)
12.30-14.00 Lunch, networking & poster-viewing
A workshop on how to build your Faculty portfolio will run from 13.15 (Dr Denise Taylor, University of Bath and RPS Faculty Champion)
14.00-14.50 Pharmacy improving urgent and emergency care (Dr Jill Loader, Head of Primary Care Commissioning (Pharmacy), NHS England)
14.50-15.40 Pharmacists in care homes (Sian James, Care Home Pharmacist, BANES CCG)
15.40-16.30 Access to health records – The Summary Care Record (Mohammed Hussein, Commissioning Manager – Strategic Systems & Technology, NHS England)
The day is free of charge to members, associates and student members. The attendance fee for non-members is £10 to cover cost of catering. Please confirm your attendance using the RPS website.
