Delivering services

The NHS Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (contract) consists of three levels of services: 

• Essential services
  Including dispensing, repeat dispensing, disposal of unwanted medicines, promotion of healthy lifestyles, signposting to other healthcare professionals, support for self-care , DMS and clinical governance.
• Advanced services
  These are optional and include : New Medicines Service, Pharmacy First Service, HCFS, Pharmacy Contraception Service, Influenza Vaccination and LFT Service.
• Enhanced and locally commissioned services
• This group of services is commissioned locally by NHSE Clinical Commissioning Hub (CCA), ICB’s and Local Authorities in order to meet the needs of their population. A wide range of services are commissioned across England.
