NHS England South Central in partnership with the British Association for the Study and Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect is pleased to invite safeguarding healthcare staff to a safeguarding children conference at either:

The Village Hotel Swindon, Shaw Ridge Leisure Park, Whitehill Way, Swindon, Wiltshire, United Kingdom, SN5 7DW on Tuesday March 14th  2017

or:

The Oxford Belfry, Milton Common, Thame, Oxon OX9 2JW on Thursday March 16th 2017

It is the responsibility of every NHS funded organisation and each individual healthcare professional working in the NHS to ensure that the principles and duties of safeguarding children are holistically, consistently and conscientiously applied with the wellbeing of those children at the heart of what we do.

This conference will provide safeguarding healthcare staff with support, leadership and learning in line with the required competences in Safeguarding children and young people: roles and competences for health care staff – The Intercollegiate document (2015).

There is no charge for this full day conference but there is an expectation that you obtain your managers approval before any application is made, to ensure that you are able to attend.
