Leadership for pharmacy professionals

2nd February 2017 10am - 4pm

Bristol Aerospace Welfare Association BS34 7RG

This full day event is an excellent opportunity to be inspired. Learn where you are and where you want to be with developing leadership skills and behaviours.

Helen Gordon, Chief Executive, Royal Pharmaceutical Society defined a leader as:

“Anyone who wants to make a change”.

The event will include an introduction to the Leadership Competency Framework for Pharmacy Professionals (LCFP) which has been developed by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society in harmony with the Clinical Leadership Competency Framework (CLCF) which promotes leadership development for all clinical professions that work in health and care.

It is the start of the journey and will get you to think about your own leadership style and help you to identify resources to support and assist in your own personal leadership development.

During the day we will explore different leadership qualities and competencies by using a series of activities and group work. Including a scenario where decisions need to be made during a simulated critical incident.

Several of these Leadership events have already been run across the country and these are some examples of the positive feedback we received:

You don’t have to be a manager to be a leader.”

“Meeting like minded colleagues with common purpose”

“Reflecting on own leadership”

“Chance to explore leadership with colleagues”.

So why not book on now via the CPPE website at www.cppe.ac.uk and discover more about your own leadership style. This event is appropriate for pharmacists, pre-registration pharmacists or pharmacy technicians working in any sector of pharmacy and at any level not just managers. If you are preparing to become a Healthy Living Pharmacy (HLP) this leadership course will be an excellent building block to add to your learning development and will compliment any other learning that you have received or are planning to receive on leadership skills.
