Alcohol identification and brief advice

The aim of this resource is to help pharmacy teams acquire the knowledge, develop the skills and demonstrate the attitudes necessary to offer an alcohol identification and brief advice service. This resource enables providers and commissioners to tailor training for pharmacists and their teams. You will need to allocate time to complete Task 1 of the pre-workshop activity, which involves working through the CPPE distance learning programme: Alcohol misuse: support and advice from the pharmacy team. This learning will provide you with the underpinning knowledge that you need to get the most out of the event. Ideally, you should aim to work through the open learning programme before attending the workshop, but if that is not possible, then you should aim to complete them within three months of attending the event.
